Dr. Merenzon: Graduated summa cum laude from the University of Buenos Aires in 2014 at the age of 24, he completed a six-year residency in Neurosurgery in Buenos Aires. He completed a research internship in microsurgical anatomy in Sao Paulo, Brazil, under the mentorship of Dr. Evandro de Oliveira, and then specialized in Functional Neurosurgery at the Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires. In 2022-2023, he conducted a fellowship focused on Brain Tumors at the University of Miami. With over 55 publications and academic presentations, he is currently a Clinical Fellow in Epilepsy Surgery at Yale, where he continues to expand his knowledge and experience in this field.
Alexis Morell, M.D.
Dr. Alexis Morell, M.D., is a leading physician originally from Rosario, Argentina. A graduate with honors from the National University of Rosario, he holds medical credentials in South America, Europe and the United States. Recognized for his contributions to medical education and research, he is currently a Neurotrauma Fellow at Jackson Memorial Hospital / Ryder Trauma Center. His interests include applied connecomics, post brain injury cognitive outcomes and interventional neurorehabilitation.
Muhammet Enes Gurses
Dr. Muhammet Enes Gurses, a Turkish-trained neurosurgeon (Hacettepe University), has completed two research programs at the Barrow Neurological Institute and Prof. Ugur Ture's Laboratory. His work includes the creation of 3D models and augmented/virtual reality simulations of graded dissections of white matter tracts (The Neurosurgical Atlas - Prof. Aaron Cohen-Gadol). For this work, he won the Yasargil Young Neurosurgeon Award. Dr. Gurses is a member of the EANS.
Ricardo Jorge Komotar, M.D., FAANS, FACS
Dr. Komotar is an Associate Professor of Neurological Surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine. A summa cum laude graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from Duke University, he spent a year at Oxford University in England to focus on neuropharmacology.
He earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine with highest honors and completed his internship and residency in neurosurgery at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Neurological Institute, followed by a fellowship in surgical neuro-oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to specialize in brain tumors.
Sam Haider, M.D., MBA
Sam Haider, M.D., M.B.A., is a distinguished neurosurgeon with a passion for patient-centered oncology care and innovative surgical techniques. A magna cum laude graduate of Union College with a B.A. in Biology and Philosophy, he completed his M.B.A. in Health Management along with his M.D. at Albany Medical College. During his residency at Henry Ford Health, Dr. Haider received numerous awards, including the Beverly C. Walters Research Award and the Message to Garcia Award. He is a CSNS Socioeconomic Fellow and an active member of AMA, AANS and CNS. Dr. Haider's expertise spans neurosurgical oncology, minimally invasive approaches, interstitial laser thermal therapy and the socioeconomics of cancer care. Thriving in the dynamic clinical environment at the University of Miami, he remains dedicated to advancing patient care and advocating for neurosurgical excellence on a national level.

Member of the Spanish Society of Radiosurgery, the Colombian Association of Neurosurgery and the Ibero Latin American Society of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Neuroradiology - SILAN.
